The Consult Club’s standing in the IIMA community and within the consulting profession is a manifestation of the cumulative efforts of the Club’s past and present members. Through a host of Club activities and engagement initiatives, we hope to connect the Club’s alumni with the student community at IIMA and the Club’s members. With this objective in mind, we have planned and undertaken a number of initiatives this year:
The Club plans to publish bi-annual newsletters with a view keeping its Alumni abreast with the Club’s activities while facilitating interaction between the Club’s former and current members. The first newsletter was published and circulated to Alumni in August 2015.
With a view to foster greater engagement between the Club’s alumni and the present members, the Consult Club has created interaction groups on Facebook and Linked-in. We request all the former and present members of the Club to be a part of these groups by clicking the icons below.
The Club seeks to provide the students at IIMA with rich and diverse industry-wide perspectives and a peek into consulting from the vantage point of professionals in the field. With this objective and with the assistance of its resourceful alumni, the Club will conduct a series of speaker sessions by consultants at various levels of seniority across firms and functions.
The first such session was conducted on 9th August, 2015 with a panel set of consultants having approximately 2 years of experience in the profession and representing A.T. Kearney, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Co., all under one roof. The session was extremely well received and students got an opportunity to informally interact with the panellists even after the session. We hope to conduct a few more such speaker sessions with senior consultants across functions and firms.
The Club is in the process of instituting a Mentorship Programme, providing a platform for greater interaction between the Club’s alumni and the student community at IIMA. The alumni’s experience in the profession will certainly provide students with a more holistic view of consulting and help them in preparing for a career in the field.
Shadow a Consultant Programme
With a view to give students a real-life experience of consulting, this programme aims at giving interested students an opportunity of spending a day with a Club alumnus.
